Last Letter

Dear Family, Friends, Pastors, and Churches,

We would like to say thank you so much for your support of our ministry to Paris.  We are so humbled by the way many of you sacrificed to make sure that we made it to the field.  Your prayers, words of encouragement, and financial support have been so precious to us.

With this in mind, it is with a prayerful heart that we announce that the door for us to go to Paris has closed. We would like to share with each one of you all the reasons why, but we ask for your understanding when we say that the Lord made it clear to us.

The money that you have sent will still be used in amazing ways. If anything, we can celebrate the fact that, through this process, God helped all of us to raise $30,000 for missionaries all over the world.  This is no small accomplishment and if that alone was why we felt called to go on this journey, it was worth it.

For those of you who have made monthly commitments to us, please do not continue to send your pledge in each month to our account. If God would lead you to continue to give to the Bridge Project, please contact Robby Bradford at robby.bradford@agwm.org.

Finally, we would ask you to pray:  Please pray for us as we begin the process of restarting our lives here.  We have rented out our house in Speedway, IN and Josh has begun a new job in Columbus, IN.  We plan to move to Columbus by the end of November.  Pray that we would continue to hear God’s voice as we proceed back into “normal” life.  Pray for the Bridge Project; for the core group of church members already meeting in Paris, for the missionaries and missionary associates who have recently gotten to Paris and are starting their lives there, for the missionary families who are still raising support and waiting to go, and for all of the people this new church will touch in Paris and throughout the world.

We are learning so much about what God values through all of this.  What we see is that he values the process more than the outcome.  He is using everything we go through to make us holy and obedient to him.  We praise him for all he has planned for our lives and for yours.  Thank you again for your impact in our lives and the lives of missionaries all over the world.  We love and appreciate you.

In His Name,

Josh, Sarah, Abby and Kaylee Isenhart

Only 8 more months!

It is so hard to believe that it was almost two years ago that God started talking to Sarah and I about taking this step of faith! Now we are only eight months away from getting on a plane and starting what promises to be one of the most exciting challenges of our lives!

God has been so good to us over the last few month’s as we have prepared for this transition. It has been exciting to see how He is fulfilling his promise to provide all of our needs. Over the last 4 months God has taken us to 25% of our monthly budget and continues to open doors for ministry opportunities.

As we look ahead to the next 8 months our family is beginning to make all of the necessary preparations for our move. We have begun to get rid of the things around the house that we will no longer need and we have gotten the girls enrolled in their school in Paris. All of these things are constant reminders that this transition coming up faster than we could have ever imagined.

Our excitement is also beginning to build as we watch and pray for the people of Western Europe. I know that even now, God is preparing the people we will be working with. I know that even now, he is softening hearts and opening peoples minds to the things he wants to do in their lives. I cannot wait to actually be on the ground and working so that these people can have an opportunity to encounter the living God!

What can you do to help? Please continue to pray that God will open doors for us to minister in churches. Also pray that emotionally and physically our family will be ready for this transition.

By the end of March, we need to be at 80% of our monthly budget so that we can begin our Visa process. Please allow God to speak to you about how you can be a part of this process. Please contact us if you have any questions about how you can help, or if you would like to schedule us for an event.

We are so excited about what God is doing in His Church!

This month, Sarah and I have had the opportunity to share what God is calling us to do not only in Assemblies of God churches, but with many different denominations. We believe with all our hearts that God is uniting the body of Christ to reach the people of Western Europe.

The more opportunities we have to share the message God has given us, the more we know we cannot do this alone. Europe needs to see the body of Christ united in it’s desire to share Christ’s love and freedom. God is not just wanting to see the birth of one church in Paris, but thousands. God wants to see thousands of churches all across Europe with a common goal — to be places where hurting people can experience the life changing power of the authentic presence of God… to be places where people who are searching for truth can find the one Truth that will change their lives. We cannot wait to see what God will do through His people.

This Sunday morning I was overwhelmed with the fact that people all over Europe were waking up to the same emptiness and pain that they had awakened to all week long. As I looked out across the congregation I was struck with how blessed we are. We not only have a choice of churches, but we have a choice of style, location, and time. Many of the internationals we will be ministering to will be hard pressed to find a church, let alone one that speaks a language they understand.

To those who have begun to partner with us financially and in prayer we thank you. To those of you who are still deciding, please do not hesitate to be apart of what God is doing to build His Church. We cannot do this without you. God is moving in His Body. Join us as we listen to His call and work to build His church.

In Christ, The Isenharts

Bio

Hello! Just a little about our family:

Sarah and I met at teen camp in Fairmount Indiana and started dating during my senior year of high school, Sarah’s freshman year of College. We were married 2 years later, just before Sarah’s senior year of college. Abigail was born a year and a half later and Kaylee was born 14 months after that.

Sarah is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University. She holds a degree in Youth Ministry with a cognate in psychology. Before finding out we were pregnant with Abigail, Sarah was a youth pastor at Riverview Wesleyan Church in Logansport, Indiana. Since that time Sarah’s main focus has been raising two girls who are passionate about Christ, but she still has a strong desire to continue working with youth and worship. She is currently involved in the worship and creative arts ministry at Lakeview church and has been apart of their last 3 worship CD’s.

While at Indiana Wesleyan working on a degree in Christian Ministries, I felt God shifting my focus to something I had been passionate about from a very young age. After one year of school an opportunity opened for me to begin an apprenticeship at a studio in Summitville, IN with, Darrell Powell. I had been working with Darrell for awhile so this was a natural shift.

God has continued to bless that decision by giving me many opportunities to work with some great people all around the world in many very challenging situations. I look forward to seeing how God will continue to use and develop the gifts he has blessed me with. I am also very excited about getting to continue developing my passion for teaching God’s word and discipleship.
